David and Kathy Howe welcome you to their website ...

David and Kathy are both committed Christians

We are both teachers, but have both retired from full-time teaching. Kathy is now working at Carlisle Airport as a Flying Instructor with Border Air Training.

David has suspended his work as a Mountain Leader/Tourist Guide but continues with teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL).

Every Tuesday morning David is a voluntary member of the Cumberland Infirmary Chaplaincy Team. His latest venture is a Guard on the South Tynedale Railway, Alston.  David and Kathy have both recently been commissioned as Prayer Chaplains at Carlisle Cathedral.

David was diagnosed with bowel cancer four years ago, had surgery  and finished a 30 week course of chemotherapy. His next check-up is in 2015. Click here for an article from the Cumberland News.

They have just (Aug '14) completed the Thames Path National Trail, some 200 miles from the source near Cirencester to The Thames Barrier.
